RESIDENTS are being urged to donate items of clothing, such as socks and underwear, bed linen and supermarket vouchers so they can be sent to those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

Longbridge councillors Andy Cartwright and Carole Griffiths have organised the collection at Northfield Fire Station between 10am and midday next Saturday, June 25.

The items, which will be taken down by the two councillors, will also be used to support the firefighters.

The blaze broke out in the West London block of flats in the early hours of Wednesday morning and 30 people have been confirmed dead.
