THIS fantastic photograph of the Clun Castle (number 7029) locomotive was taken by Richard J Wilson-Dixon at Bromsgrove Railway Station on Saturday.

The Vintage Trains trip saw it journey from Tyseley Locomotive Works to Birmingham Snow Hill and onto Worcester Shrub Hill via Bromsgrove and Droitwich.

And, of course, no locomotive trip in this area would be complete without it tackling the Lickey Incline – with a 1 in 37 gradient it is renowned around the world for being one of the steepest inclines for engines to take on.

After reaching Worcester it turned round and went back later that evening.

Enthusiasts, including Richard, had their cameras at the ready in Bromsgrove, Northfield and other points along the route.
