AN OPEN day is being held at Cramar Cat Rescue in Hopwood from midday on Sunday, August 19, in a bid to find cats and kittens their ‘fur-ever’ home.
The charity’s largest fund-raising activity of the year will feature stalls, a barbecue, gifts, prizes, games, cake and a tombola.
Visitors can also have a look around the paddocks, see if they want to rehome a cat or kitten and author Lisa Murray-Lang will be signing her new book ‘On a Whisker and a Prayer’ (where a percentage of the profits goes to Cramar).
Staff hope more moggies will find new homes like Iszumi (pictured).
She arrived at the rescue centre heavily pregnant and went on to produce five kittens.
The mum had a broken leg which she struggled with throughout her pregnancy and it got so bad it had to be amputated. She took it all in her stride and has now found happiness.
