NATIONAL Theatre Live is to screen a performance of King Lear starring Ian McKellen on Thursday, September 27.
Considered one of the greatest tragedies ever written, Shakespeare’s King Lear attempts to divide his kingdom between his three daughters with disastrous consequences.
The production transfers to London’s West End after a sold out season at Chichester Festival Theatre last year.
Cast also includes Sinéad Cusack, Kirsty Bushell and Danny Webb.
It’s being screened live at the Worcester Odeon, Bromsgrove Artrix and Redditch Vue on the evening.
