WESTERN Power Distribution says all power across Bromsgrove District was restored at 4.30pm following the serious substation fire in Upton Warren earlier.
Two fire crews from Bromsgrove, three from Redditch and one from Droitwich attended the blaze and a man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
At one point more than 6,500 properties across Bromsgrove were off following the fire which broke out at the 20m by 10m electrical substation in Upton Warren at 12.52pm.
Firefighters in breathing aparatus used dry Compressed Air Foam (CAS) in a bid to bring the flames under control.
Reports were received from The Standard about power being lost at properties in the town centre being affected, along with traffic lights and street lamps.
And the fire service said the incident may be affecting the water supply.
Group Commander George Marshall said the electrical substation had to be partially isolated and the firefighters worked hard to bring the blaze under control.
He added electricity supplies were affected throughout the North of Worcestershire maybe affected and fire crews worked hard with Western Power to restore electricity supplies as soon as they could.
