THE MET Office has issued a weather warning for Worcestershire for heavy rain and strong winds in the next 24 hours.

According to the organisation rain could be heavy this morning (Tuesday) and then continuous heavy rain from around 7pm this evening and winds overnight could reach up to 50mph.

The rain is due to ease in time for tomorrow’s rush hour but winds could still be as high as 42mph for the morning commute.

The warning is currently ‘yellow’ which means people should ‘be aware’.

Those travelling should take care as flying debris could lead to a risk of injuries and public transport delays and cancellations.
