THE MET Office has issued a yellow snow warning for snow and ice in Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham on Tuesday, January 16.
According to the current forecast there will be sleet and rain in the afternoon before it turns to snow after 5pm when the temperatures are expected to drop to 1°C.
Flurries are expected to fall off and on until the early hours of Wednesday morning.
In Rubery and South Birmingham there is expected to be some snow and sleet late morning and early afternoon before further light snow around 5pm and a more prolonged snowfall from 8pm. It could even last until the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Experts warn there could be travel delays, although public transport cancellations are less likely.
Motorists should take care on roads and pedestrians on pavements as conditions could be slippy and treacherous.
