A CHARITY rugby match held in memory of PC Keith Palmer who died in the Westminster terror attack was held at Bromsgrove Rugby Club.
The contest, between West Mercia Police (Worcestershire Division) and West Midlands Police (Coventry Division), was attended by 250 people and, with admission by donation, raised £1,197 for the families of PC Palmer and other officers injured in the atrocity.
At the final whistle West Mercia ran out 32-10 winners and claimed the ‘Courage’ trophy.
The event was organised by Dae King who is a serving West Mercia Police officer and member of Bromsgrove Rugby Club.
He said: “The atmosphere was brilliant. It was a real coming together of the community for a good cause.”
