A LOCAL swim school, Puddle Ducks, has named one of its staff members ‘Star Teacher’ after a wave of glowing reviews from parents and children she teaches, writes Shnae Harrison.
The ‘Star Teacher’ Hollie Dixon, who joined Puddle Ducks in 2015, left her career as a head chef to pursue a career for her passion to help develop children’s skills in the water.
Hollie teaches lessons at Barnt Green, Feckenham and other pools used by the company across Worcestershire; the sessions include aqua natal classes for mothers and babies, pre-school classes, and a swimming academy age four and over.
A review praising Hollie for her clarity and patience reads: “Hollie has a very warm manner and is very patient with the babies if they are having a difficult day.
“She is encouraging to the parents and babies, always cheering them on and making you feel that your little one matters and is important to her, event though there are multiple babies in a class.
“She is very clear in her instructions and gives each person the attention they need to understand how to do each exercise.
“She always remembers the names of each baby and gives each her focus in every class.
“We love Hollie and have found that she has made our experience of swimming from an early age fun and safe!”
Puddle Ducks holds classes across Worcestershire, including Hawford, Malvern, Studley, Stratford-on-Avon, Worcester, Droitwich, Stourbridge and Barnt Green.
