STAFF and students at the Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) are celebrating after gaining their Investors in Diversity Standard at Stage 2 reaccreditation.
The Investors in Diversity Award is recognised as much more than a prestigious quality mark.
It provides an all-encompassing methodology for improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) practices in the workplace.
HoW College was credited for its continued commitment to EDl and its ability to demonstrate college values through engagement with external events such as Pride, established policies and commitment to further training across the organisation.
Speaking about the College’s success, director of quality Claire Barton said: “This award is a credit to the whole college community, the staff, the students and the external organisations we work with. I am really proud of our achievements and thrilled with such positive survey results.”
The National Centre for Diversity advisor, Fiona McPhail added: “I was impressed by the work that Heart of Worcestershire College has put into embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the heartfelt and genuine commitment of all those I spoke with.
“It has been a pleasure working with a college and I wish them every future success.”
