THE LABOUR Party has taken the Northfield seat from Conservative Gary Sambrook.
Laurence Turner polled 14,929 votes while Mr Sambrook received 9,540.
Stephen Peters, the Reform UK candidate, finished the day on 7,895 votes while Robert Grant (Green Party) polled 2,809 and Liberal Democrat Jerry Evans received 1,791 votes.
The remaining voting numbers were as follows – Altaf Hussain (Independent) – 310, Dick Rodgers (Common Good) – 215 and Dean Gwilliam (Independent) – 163.
Earlier this morning, Conservative Bradley Thomas held onto the Bromsgrove seat with a majority of 3,016 – somewhat down on the previous one (23,106) accumulated by Sajid Javid.
