THE FIRST ever Barnt Green Motor Festival will take place next weekend.
The event, from 2pm to 5pm next Sunday, July 2, has been organised by Barnt Green Parish Council and will feature a display of cars and motorcycles owned by local residents.
More than 60 vehicles have been registered for the event, including Lambretta scooters, Harley Davidson’s, electric cars, classics, such as E Type Jaguars, and even a Model T Ford and a Hummer.
An award will be given for the best car of the day and there will be a competition for children to take part in.
The display will be held in the heart of Barnt Green village, outside the shops in Hewell Road and food and drink will be available from some of the village’s favourite outlets.
Gill Lungley, the executive officer of Barnt Green Parish Council, said: “The event is free, so why not come along and wander round an intriguing array of vehicles.”
