Excitement 'building' as Avoncroft Museum prepares to put on special construction week

Bromsgrove Editorial 17th Feb, 2017   0

AVONCROFT Museum will be helping parents keep youngsters busy during the half-term holiday with indoor construction-themed activities, writes Harry Leach.

From Monday (February 20) to Friday (February 24), Avoncroft’s Guesten Hall will become a building site with masses of Lego, a bouncy castle and a sand-pit construction site for young workers to get digging.

Avoncroft Museum is home to historic buildings, spanning several centuries, which have been rescued from demolition and rebuilt in a corner of Worcestershire’s countryside.

Outside the hall, visitors can solve the trail around the museum, explore the historic buildings and the National Telephone Kiosk Collection.

There is something for everyone, as parents can enjoy a coffee at this indoor event whilst viewing the 19-acre grounds.

Morning sessions for the indoor Construct and Create activities run from 11am to 1pm and afternoon sessions between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets and more information is available by visiting www.avoncroft.org.uk or by calling calling 01527 831363.
