'Dangerous' leaning lamp post in Cofton Hackett replaced

Bromsgrove Editorial 19th Aug, 2017   0

A LEANING lamp post in Cofton Hackett which posed a danger to residents has been replaced.

Cofton Hackett Parish Council, which has responsibility for street lighting outside of the major arterial roads in the Parish, replaced the post located on at the junction of Ashmead Drive and Ashmead Rise.

It comes after Labour Group Leader, Councillor Peter McDonald, called for the post, which was ‘leaning dangerously’, to be moved before ‘someone was injured or even killed’.

Councillor Roger Westbury, of Cofton Hackett Parish Council, said the lamp post is in place and is set to be painted soon.
