A BROMSGROVE mum has organised a ‘fintastic’ charity event where children will have the chance to meet a real life mermaid.
Sophie Robinson will hold the special day at the Dolphin Centre from 4.45pm to 7pm tomorrow, Saturday, July 8, which will see children swim with real life Mermaid Merchelle, known as the ‘Musical Mermaid’, and enjoy activities with entertainer, Pirate Pete.
The 31-year-old is raising funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Birmingham Children’s Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Unit, after her daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with the condition shortly after birth.
She said: “My daughter is nearly one so I decided it was time to raise money for the charities that have been so helpful to us and to also raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.
“We are so happy to have such special guests join us with our fundraiser, we know it will make quite a splash.”
