A GROUP of Scouts and Young Leaders from 6th Bromsgrove (Catshill) Scout Group will be scaling the heights to raise funds for the troop.
Felicity Jones, 13, and Vicky Johnson, who attend Waseley Hills High School, and Robyn Dane, 14, who goes to North Bromsgrove High School, will be climbing the height of Mount Kilimanjaro – 5,895metres – between them.
The event is being hosted by Go Outdoors in Kidderminster on September 2 and the trio are hoping to raise £1,000 to fund activities and equipment for the group.
Felicity’s mum Helen Jones, who also helps out with the Catshill Scouts group, said: “They wanted to do something for the local community and the group and not only came up with the idea of what to do but also organised it all as well.
“Everybody is so proud of them and wishes them luck in their quest.”
