BROMSGROVE’s Lindsey Allen will run the London Marathon on Sunday in aid of the Bobath Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy, writes Catherine Reston.
The charity supports children and families living with cerebral palsy by tailoring care to each case.
Eager to run for this cause, Lindsey has been diligent in her training.
“My training has been fraught with as many obstacles that life can through at you—different injuries, illnesses and of course the horrendous weather we’ve had has affected my progress.
“However, I am the most stubborn/pig-headed person I know.”
Prior to moving to Bromsgrove six years ago, Lindsey was based in London and had been wanting to run the marathon her whole life.
The 44-year-old has applied for the past three years, and has finally been successful.
“The London Marathon is the most iconic marathon in the World for me.”
