A BROMSGROVE man has been named by Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce’s (HWCC) as one of its ‘5 under 35’ people to watch in business this year.
Brandon Burrows, 20, from Charford, made the prestigious list after HWCC asked businesses to nominate their rising stars, young entrepreneurs, innovators and business game changers for the year ahead.
Brandon was chosen because of his previous successes and his grand ambitions for the future.
He had a very successful school life, passing his GCSEs with flying colours while at South Bromsgrove High School before starting a six-month placement at IMI Truslow Marine in Aston, Birmingham, as an Accounts Trainee.
After a six-month placement at IMI he joined Bromsgrove company GTAccess, a national provider of powered access platforms at their head office as an administration apprentice.
After completing his one-year apprenticeship at GTAccess Brandon realised both his heart and his future lay in accounting.
Jon Till, managing director of GTAccess said “We really didn’t want to lose such a positive individual as Brandon so we looked to create a position for him within our small accounts team, as we’re constantly expanding and with a little forward thinking we were able to do just that.”
The space GTAccess created enabled Brandon to start another apprenticeship as an Accounting Technician.
Brandon’s aspiration is to become a fully qualified accountant by the time he is 22, which he is fully on course to achieving.
GTAccess is delighted its very own accounts apprentice has been recognised by the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce as a rising star of 2018 and is looking forward to watching him grow in the coming years as he continues his training to realise his ambition.
