BROMSGROVE members of the European Movement and Worcestershire for Europe took part in a gathering on the Malvern Hills on New Year’s Day.
The group, which is campaigning to get Britain to remain in the European Union, braved strong winds to fly their EU flags and sang Ode to Joy.
A group spokesperson said: “This is a campaign, which we simply cannot afford to lose.
“Already the effects of the threat to leave the EU are apparent with price rises, loss of permanent jobs and lower applications from EU health professionals, which our NHS so urgently needs.
“It is not too late to admit we were wrong and remain within the EU.”
The group said more events were planned for the coming year, including information stalls in Bromsgrove and Worcester.
