A SPECIAL day was had by two churchgoers last week when they joined fellow Rock Choir members on stage.

The two members of St Godwalds Church, Bromsgrove, united with the Rock Choir members from Worcestershire in aid of Primrose Hospice and friends of St Godwalds.

The event raised £722.50 from ticket sales and raffle tickets.

Sue Wilkes, Rock Choir member and St Godwalds parishioner, said: “Everyone was talking about our performance in church this morning and wish we’d sung more!”

Choir leader, Christa Hugo, said: “We were so pleased to be able to help raise much-needed funds for Primrose Hospice with our concert.”

Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with more than 25,000 members in over 360 local communities, holding many performances throughout the year being in aid of charities.

Christa runs fun, weekly sessions in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Redditch and Stourbridge.
