RESIDENTS at Bromsgrove’s Breme Care Home, Providence Road, will be getting in the festive spirit tomorrow when they embrace Elf Day.
Craft sessions have been held at the home to make vibrant elf ears and decorations and the staff will be dressing in red and green with long stripy socks.
Mary Smith, 93, said: “I am looking forward to seeing all of the staff dressed as elves, it will make everyone laugh.”
Home manager Rebecca Rudge said: “Our residents are really looking forward to Elf Day, especially as it ties in with the home’s annual Christmas Party.
“The home will be filled with singing, smiles and laughter and of course, a few mischievous elves.”
The team will also open the home’s doors to the community in the coming weeks with two seasonal events.
On December 19 at 11am there will be a festive exercise class and at 3pm on December 20 a Christmas Carol concert, complete with mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming people of all ages from the local community into our home this Christmas time; new and familiar faces alike,” added Rebecca.
