A BROMSGROVE builder is revving up to take part in an international charity car rally for the fourth time with his friends.

Andy Swan and his team will take on Banger Italia on July 26, a low-budget charity rally that will see more than 60 teams attempt to drive cars under £400 to Italy.

The rally’s 3,000 mile route will see the drivers take in sights across France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland before they reach their final destination, the seaside resort of Rimini.

The 48-year-old will be joined by friends and fellow car fanatics, Marc Healy, Daz Russell, Thomas Ayres, Jay Ososki and Richard Childs, who have sourced two Jaguars to take them to Italy.

Andy said: “We’ve decided to do this challenge for the fourth year as we have thoroughly enjoyed the last three and raised over £7,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.

“This is a charity that’s very close to all of the team member’s hearts having lost family members to Dementia.”

To support them, Text ITAL48 £5 to 70070.
