Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletics Club team up with GiveToLocal charity in bid to raise cash

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th Apr, 2021   0

BROMSGROVE and Redditch Athletics Club has teamed up with the GiveToLocal charity in a bid to raise some desperately needed cash to get it in shape for the coming season.

Training has restarted at the Abbey Stadium in Redditch and Ryland Centre in Bromsgrove as the Covid-19 restrictions start to lift and with this the club is hoping local businesses and communities can help with donations to help buy equipment and to train up new coaches and officials.

The extra kit will lessen the need for sharing between athletes and reduce the risks of infection.

Extra coaches are needed so the club can take on more athletes from its waiting list, giving the next Usain Bolts and Jess Ennis-Hills a chance to train and aim for their goals.

The officials are required to help when the club host competitions and attend national and local league events.

People can make one-off donations or regular monthly ones through a free app at https://signup.givetolocal.com/club/signup/bromsgrove-and-redditch-athletics-club/428
