A GARDENING project launched in Charford last year has already yielded some bloomin’ great results.
The scheme, started by resident Sue Douglas and supported by councillors Michael Thompson and Chris Bloore, has seen plots and public areas developed and transformed to give local people a nicer environment to live in.
The crocuses (pictured) were donated by residents and planted out by volunteers and the project was funded by Coun Bloore’s divisional fund.
Coun Thompson: “It’s great to see people working together and showing pride in their community.”
Chris Bloore: “I love Charford The spirit of this project is typical of the people who live here and it is great to see their first project so soon into the year.”
