Arrow Valley Park Runners gear up for annual fund-raising challenge tomorrow

Bromsgrove Editorial 1st Sep, 2017   0

ARROW Valley Parkrunners are gearing up for their annual fund-raising challenge tomorrow – running nine 5km Midlands parkruns and the Bromsgrove junior parkrun in one day.

The event follows in a fine tradition set by the group having raised more than £6,000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice in 2015 and £2,623.74 for Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation in 2016.

For 2017 they will be running the different selection of courses to raise money for two charities – Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Action Medical Research for Children. The distance of the nine 5Ks and the Bromsgrove junior parkrun will be the equivalent of a marathon.

And they would love to see runners and spectators along the way, particularly at the final parkrun of the day at Arrow Valley Park 7.30pm.

The runners will also have completed the equivalent of a marathon by the time they cross the finishing line.

It starts in Brueton Park, Solihull at 7.30am before Kingsbury (9am), Coventry (10.30am), Rugby (midday), Daventry (2pm), Leamington (3.30pm), Stratford (5pm) and Bromsgrove (6.30pm) before the final lap at Arrow Valley.
