All you need to know about this year's Bromsgrove Carnival

THIS YEAR’S Bromsgrove Carnival will take place in the town tomorrow (Saturday, July 13).

The annual parade will start from North Bromsgrove High School from midday, journeying to Sander Park, via School Drive, Stratford Road, Market Street and Kidderminster Road.

With Paris 2024 just a fortnight away, the theme for this year’s parade is ‘Olympic Sports’. The following groups, organisations and schools will be in the big procession –

The carnvial arena in the park, with stalls, funfair and live entertainment, will open at 11am and run until 4pm.




The award ceremony for the best parade entries will take place at 1pm and then there will be dance performances at the bandstand between 1.30pm and 4.30pm (see the schedule above).

There will also be a Street Food Village with main stage and party in the park between 11am and 9.30pm. The vendors are listed below.


 

Tonight (Friday, July 12)

On the Friday, there will be the usual free outdoor cinema. This year’s screening at 8pm will be Mamma Mia. There will also be a singalong from 5pm and food stalls, bar (no alcohol to be brought in) and music.

Parking on-site is for a £2 donation per vehicle.
