AN ECLECTIC mix of talented musicians are set to grace the stage at Artrix as part of BBC Introducing Live!

Supporting the very best new music from across the region, the free event on Sunday (January 28) will showcase four bands from across the county.

The audience will enjoy the musical stylings from Worcester based punk rock quartet ‘Fights And Fires’, as well as Keri Whip, who takes inspiration from greats such as Etta James and Aretha Franklin and described as ‘incredible’ by Charlie Sloth of BBC Radio 1Xtra.

‘Quirky’ rock band Heronimus Fin were voted as one of the most collectable artists by readers of Record Collector Magazine! and Lily Dooner will provide a catalogue of ‘raw and honest songs’.

Since 2005, BBC Introducing in Hereford and Worcester has broadcast nearly 1,000 sessions, helping to showcase some of the area’s most talented musicians to a massive audience.

Some of the recent highlights include Leominster’s AKA George at Glastonbury, Bromyard’s Remi Harris at the Montreal Jazz Festival and Hay-on-Wye’s Cherryshoes at T In The Park.

A spokesperson said: “These artists didn’t even they were being considered – and we hope this inspires people to keep sending in their music, because we really do listen to everything!”

The event will be held on Sunday between 7pm and 10.30pm.

Admission is free, call 01527 577330 or email [email protected] for more information.
