REVIEW: Flight Club In Bloom

Bromsgrove Editorial 24th Jun, 2024   0

Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting The Flight Club in Birmingham to experience their new summer cocktail menu.

From start to finish, it was an exceptional evening and from the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, setting the tone for a fantastic night.

We kicked off our visit with an hour of darts, (I won’t mention who won, I’m a sore loser) which added a fun and interactive element to our evening.

Whilst we were playing, the staff brought each cocktail from the new summer menu for me and my aunt to try.

It was hard to decide but I think my favourite drink was the peach orchard bliss (which I enjoyed three times throughout the night).

Daniel, one of the bar tenders visits London to learn about the art of mixology.

He said: “Everyone has been very fond of the new menu, and the staff love making them.

“The spicy watermelon margarita has been a massive hit, there is not a huge market for spicy drinks out there at the moment, so it is going down really well.”

Manager Mitchell Christy added: “We are not naturally a summer menu, by introducing the new drinks it has allowed us to bring in a new audience.

“The staff have been very creative and have come up with amazing cocktails for Flight Club In Bloom.”

Me and my aunt found each drink was a refreshing blend of flavours that perfectly captured the essence of the season.

The creativity and craftsmanship that went into each cocktail were evident.

After our game of darts, we settled down for some food. Our selection included the vegan pizza, hummus, bao buns, and a beyond burger, all of which were milk-free to accommodate my aunt’s dietary needs.

Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, ensuring that flavour was not compromised despite the dietary restrictions.

The vegan pizza was particularly delightful, with a crisp crust and generous toppings of fresh vegetables, we had to take most of it home as it was so huge.

Overall, it was a lovely evening that exceeded our expectations. The combination of excellent service, delectable cocktails, and delicious, accommodating food made our visit to The Flight Club a memorable one.

I highly recommend checking out their new summer cocktail menu and enjoying a game of darts while you’re at it. We will definitely be returning for another fun-filled night (hopefully I will win next time…).
