THE LATEST group to grace Bromsgrove Folk Club will be Nothing to Prove.
The four-piece from the Woodman Club in Kingwinford will perform at Catshill Club on Thursday, February 8.
The guest appearance comes as part of Bromsgrove Folk Club’s dedication to bring the best in folk, roots and acoustic music to North Worcestershire where members scour the country, and indeed the world, for excellence.
Nothing To Prove, which will be supported by resident band Fairfield, were formed following a chance encounter at Bridgnorth Folk Festival sometime last century.
Playing on a variety of instruments including bass, guitar, keyboard, percussion, mandolin and mandola combined with strong vocals and harmonies, and an eclectic repertoire, the quartet bring that extra “x factor” that is necessary for all resident bands…………a sense of fun!
The evening, which takes place between 8pm and 10.30pm, promises to be a night of great music, fun and frolics.
Bromsgrove Folk Club meets at Catshill Social Club, Meadow Road, B61 0JJ on the second and last Thursday of every month.
Admission is £7 for members, £9 for non members and £3.50 plus free membership for under 25 year olds
