Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall has launched a new initiative dedicated to the celebration of literature in all its forms.
The initiative, entitled The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room, is intended to be a hub for literary communities around the world.
Inspired by the success of the reading lists published by Her Royal Highness last year, the channel will offer new seasons of book recommendations, as well as providing exclusive insight from the authors themselves, in a community space for book lovers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Yesterday Season One of The Reading Room was announced, with the first four book titles revealed.
Duchess Camilla chose:
The Mirror & The Light – Hilary Mantel
Where the Crawdads Sing – Delia Owens
Restless – William Boyd
The Architect’s Apprentice – Elif Shafak
So if you’re looking for something to read over lockdown, why not try one of Camilla’s suggestions?
Over the next eight weeks, The Reading Room will explore a selection of The Duchess of Cornwall’s favourite books, in conversation with the authors.
