Award-winning quartet coming to Bromsgrove's Artrix

AN AWARD-winning string quartet will perform at Artrix next Friday, September 29, to open Bromsgrove Concerts’ new season of chamber music.

The Castalian Quartet, which has been winning prizes at international competitions since they got together in 2011, will take to the stage at 8pm.

The programme will include Haydn’s String Quartet in E flat Op 76 No 6, Thomas Ades’ String Quartet the Four Quarters and Beethoven String Quartet in A minor Op 132.

A spokesperson for Bromsgrove Concerts said: “They bring a varied programme to Bromsgrove which is sure to demonstrate both their talent and musicality.”

Ticket prices are £20 for single tickets (£5 concessions – registered disabled, unemployed or full time student over 25). Subscription and Rover tickets also available.

Carers and young people under 25 admitted free to all concerts (under 16s must be accompanied).
