THE DATE for the premiere of the festive murder mystery filmed in Bromsgrove at the end of last year has been revealed.
The invitation only event to unveil Death at Christmas will take place at the town’s Artrix at 6.30pm on November 27.
The movie was filmed by students from South Bromsgrove High School over four weeks at the Manor House at Blackwell Adventure centre.
It is set to be released by GW Studios in time for Christmas 2017.
The story follows a group of friends as they assemble to celebrate the festive season, in Nigel Montgomery’s newly inherited home. But little do they know that their white Christmas is about to be stained red.
Death at Christmas producer Daniel Ellis said: “We are delighted to be able to hold a premiere at our local arts centre.
“It is really fitting considering the cast, crew and majority of our sponsors have all been from within the Bromsgrove community.
“Artrix has been really supportive of our community project and we can’t thank them enough for agreeing to host our premiere event.”
Director George Watkins added: “It’s an opportunity to thank all those who have enabled ‘Death at Christmas’ to happen and I can’t wait to invite all our cast, crew, sponsors and supporters to view the final cut.”
‘Death at Christmas’, which features nine local actors, has been in the post production phase since mid-December, with some sneak peaks and short previews available on YouTube.
After the premiere, the film will be launched online on December 1.
