ODDSOCKS Productions will be trekking into the jungle to bring Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale of adventure, mischief and monkeys to life.
Coming to Bromsgrove’s Artrix on Sunday (January 15), The Jungle Book follows a story of ambition, trust and growing up and is considered one of the most popular children’s stories in literary history.
Oddsocks producer, Elli Mackenzie, who adapted The Jungle Book for the stage, said: “We think it’s very topical, there’s obviously been the new film out recently and it’s a story that connects all of the generations.
“People who have children or grandchildren may remember the original Disney film and their children may now have connected more strongly to this new version.
“We thought it’s a good opportunity to say ‘Disney does it one way, Oddsocks does it another!'”
Oddsocks’ retelling promises to do all their own stunts, no CGI and it will all be in 3D without requiring glasses.
The Jungle Book will be at Artrix on Sunday (January 15) at 7pm.
Tickets are £15, £13 for over 60’s and students and £9 for under 16s, call the Box Office on 01527 577 330 or visit www.artrix.co.uk for more information.
