OFFICERS from Bromsgrove’s Safer Neighbourhood team (SNT) surprised a brave seven-year-old from Stoke Prior First School this morning after he helped a family member in need.
Stanley Coleman won a bravery award after having the presence of mind to call 999 back in July when a family member who he was home alone with required immediate medical attention.
Bromsgrove SNT Officers and Ruth Currie from the ambulance service surprised Stanley during assembly and he was given his certificates in front of the whole school, his parents and his grandparents.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Stanley’s courage and calmness are an example to all children on how and when to call 999 for help.
“Stanley’s family must be so proud of him, as are we.”
