A WARNING has been issued to drivers not to leave their cars unattended while defrosting them after a vehicle theft in Bromsgrove yesterday.

The Ford Ranger with the partial registration number ‘GK64’ was taken from a driveway on Old Birmingham Road, Lickey End at 8.30am.

Two people – who were in another vehicle – were arrested over the theft but the car is still missing.

The pair are believed to have been part of the group.

The day before, three people were caught on video doorbell footage – also on Old Birmingham Road, Lickey End, attempting to steal a car.

It is not known if the two incidents are linked.

Anyone with information which could help police should call officers on 101.

Every year, numerous vehicles are stolen while drivers start the engine to defrost windscreens and windows and then leave their cars or vans.

Police advise motorists to stay in or next to their vehicles while using the engine to clear windscreens and windows.
