Man dies after being hit by train in between Longbridge and Bromsgrove this morning

A MAN was hit by a train between Longbridge and Bromsgrove this morning.

It happened at 8.11am near the junction of Alcester Road and Hewell Lane.

West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics and a paramedic officer attended but nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from British Transport Police are investigating in a bid to establish what happened.




Following the incident there have been delays and cancellations on West Midlands Railway services between the two stations.

Rail Replacement Coaches are accepting passengers between Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove in both directions until further notice.


Rail Replacement Coaches are also accepting passengers between Hereford and Worcester Shrub Hill via Worcester Foregate Street in both directions until further notice.
