Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Sep, 2022   0

Worcestershire Libraries are gearing up to celebrate Libraries Week on October 3 and 9.

The week is geared to showcase the best of UK libraries of all kinds, with a focus on celebrating their role in supporting life-long learning.

As part of the Libraries Week programme, a wide variety of activities will be taking place for children, businesses and Shared Connections groups.

Storytimes, bounce & rhyme, Lego clubs and craft sessions will be some of the activities available for children and free business advice, support, and information for budding entrepreneurs.

At the Hive in Worcester, there will be an Evening with Kit de Waal on October 4 at 7:30pm and a Space Day on October 8 between 10:30am and 4:00pm.

Coun Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Communities for Worcestershire County Council, said: “Worcestershire Libraries are committed to supporting people across the county.

“These events aim to raise aspirations, improve skill levels and help people find employment. Our libraries are a valued asset within our community, offering free library membership to Worcestershire residents.”
