TWO DRIVERS have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Bromsgrove last night.

The collision happened around 9.20pm on the A38, near the M5 Lydiate Ash island and involved a blue Audi A4 estate travelling towards Bromsgrove and a Volkswagen Passat which was heading in the opposite direction.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic.

Both men were assessed at the scene and, because of the severity of their injuries, were taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

West Mercia Police are investigating and have urged anyone who saw the crash, captured footage of it on dash cam or has any information to call 101 to report it or submit details online here.
