Disqualified drug-driver in cloned van arrested at Frankley Services

A DISQUALIFIED driver was arrested at Frankley Services as he filled up containers of petrol.

It came minutes after he had made off without paying for fuel from Hopwood Services and the van had been stolen and cloned from the West Midlands Police force area.

And to make matters worse, after officers from Worcestershire Operational Patrol Unit detained him last night, he also failed a drug wipe test showing he was under the influence of illegal substances.

Drink-driver arrested hours later

IN A completely unrelated incident a few hours later, a drink driver was arrested on the M5 near Frankley Services.

He tried to give false details to officers from Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) and, at 5am this morning, blew two-and-a-half times the drink-drive limit.

CMPG said: “In the end even he couldn’t take that seriously and he fessed up”
