Home Instead's Zoe spreading joy across Bromsgrove and Redditch with her kindness boxes

Bromsgrove Editorial 25th May, 2021   0

STAFF at Bromsgrove and Redditch local home care company Home Instead have been spreading joy by distributing random acts of kindness boxes throughout the community.

The parcels, distributed randomly, contain small treats including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and activity booklets.

Zoe Mucklow, community development officer at Home Instead, came up with the idea to combat the loneliness and isolation brought on by the lockdown.

“Usually, we would be out in the community at dementia cafes or local groups where we can speak to elderly people within the community and provide some company and advice, but these have been unable to run throughout the pandemic.

“I wanted to find a creative way of connecting with others in the community who we don’t provide care to.”
