Bromsgrove children get creative to send Christmas cards to town's elderly

CHILDREN of care staff at Home Instead Redditch and Bromsgrove have entered a competition to design the best Christmas cards.

Seven winning designs will be sent to Home Instead clients, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The aim is to make elderly people feel special following a tough year of restrictions.

Annie Dixon-Dunn, owner of Home Instead, had her mum Eileen judge the competition.

“All the children were delighted to get busy and design Christmas cards,” said Annie.

“They have all shown great enthusiasm and empathy for those who have been isolated from their loved ones this year.

“We hope that all the cards bring happiness to our senior clients this Christmas.”

Head of people and marketing at Home Instead, Kerry Williams, added that many clients have struggled with loneliness in 2020.

“Therefore it’s wonderful to bring a little Christmas joy to elderly people this festive season,” she said.

Home Instead provides home care services to elderly and vulnerable people throughout the local area.
