Counting down to the big Barnt Green Christmas lights switch-on

Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Nov, 2019   0

THERE will be plenty of festive fun for all the family for villagers and visitors alike when Barnt Green’s annual Christmas lights switch-on event takes place tomorrow, Saturday, November 30.

The event will run from 4pm to 6pm in the village centre and will feature live entertainment from Blackwell Concert Band and The Star Project.

Local traders will be selling food and drink and, of course, youngsters will get the chance to meet Father Christmas.

People are being urged to come out and support Barnt Green’s traders.

The countdown and big switch-on will take place at 5pm.

Barnt Green’s lights are unique in that the designs were done by talented pupils from St Andrew’s School three years ago.

It followed a competition organised by developers CALA Homes and Barnt Green Parish Council.

Among the winning designs were a snowman, a robin and an angel.

Barnt Green looks more ornate than ever at Christmastime and the villagers are looking forward to giving you a warm welcome.
