OFFICERS from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU) are warning drivers to ensure they have the correct insurance for their vehicle after seizing a vehicle in Bromsgrove.
The car was taken off the road this morning after the driver was stopped.
Those caught driving without insurance can be given a £300 on-the-spot fine and six penalty points on their licence.
If it goes to court the fine is unlimited and motorists can be banned from driving.
Pentalty points on licences also mean increased car insurance premiums when drivers do go to insure their vehicle.
Officers can also seize cars and have the power to have them destroyed.
