Bromsgrove District Council issues flood advice amidst heavy rain

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th Jun, 2019   0

WITH the heavy rain of the last few days and more rain forecast today, Bromsgrove District Council has issued advice about flooding, writes Isabel Kimbrey.

Water management services attended several areas throughout Wednesday night that were affected by flooding.

Short-term flash flooding closed Perryfields Road and Old Burcot Lane during the night, but they have since re-opened.

The Flood Forecasting Centre has issued a low flood risk warning, but have said minor surface water flooding is possible.

Highways teams from Worcestershire County Council are ensuring sandbag distribution points are made ready as the heavy downpours continue.

The council is urging people to report any flooding issues as soon as they see them by calling Bromsgrove District Council on 01527 881188.
