More coping stones stolen from Bromsgrove district

Bromsgrove Editorial 16th Feb, 2019   0

MORE coping stones have been stolen from walls, pillar tops and gate posts in Bromsgrove district.

The thieves have struck several times in Clent, including this one in Bromsgrove Road.

Because of the amount of stones being taken, police believe the thieves are transporting the stones in a van or similar vehicle.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

It comes just a fortnight after we reported on another incident in which coping stones were stolen.

On that occasion the thieves stole hundreds of  beautiful red coping stones from the wall outside Woodcote Manor on the Kidderminster Road in Dodford, using a crowbar to lever them off.

They also targeted a similar wall belonging to the adjacent Greenhill Farm at the same time.

Police can offer advice on CCTV cameras and how to go about installing them for residents who want to use surveillance to protect their properties.
