A CHRISTMAS concert by Five Star Swing at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on December 4 will help residents get into the festive spirit, writes Ryan Smith.
A multitude of favourite Christmas songs will be performed at the show, with classics from Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and other artists all being given the big band treatment.
Among the artists performing will be Simone from the Ivy Benson Orchestra, Tony Bennett’s trombonist, as well as BBC Radio Big Band composer and arranger Chris Smith Jr and the Herb Miller Big Band.
The show, which has previously been a part of BBC’s Children in Need programme, starts at 2.30pm.
