A DARK and satirical play performed by Rubery Drama Group is coming to the village later this month.

‘Neighbourhood Watch’ follows a group of residents as their scheme for safer surroundings spirals wildly out of control.

The much-praised 75th play by Alan Ayckbourn in 2011 is described by critics as hilariously funny and highly ambitious.

The production runs from October 25 to October 27 at the Beacon Church Centre, Whetty lane, Rubery, with performances at 7.30pm each night. Call 0121 453 8733 or 0121 445 2323 for tickets which are £7 (£6 for concessions).

Rubery Drama Group has been performing for more than 60 years and is part of Bromsgrove Arts Alive.

  • There will also be a stand at the event providing information on the Rubery Neighbourhood Watch group which is very pro-active in the village.
