'A Fantastic response already' to Operation Lollipop which targets illegal and dangerous parking outside schools in Bromsgrove district

OPERATION Lollipop which targets illegal and dangerously parked vehicles outside schools has already received a fantastic response from the community.

The revelation came from PC Simon Albutt who spoke at last night’s Rubery PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting.

But PC Albutt stressed the illegal and dangerously parked vehicles had to be near schools because that was what the operation – being piloted by West Mercia Police – was aimed at targeting.

He said officers had received photographs of other inconsiderately parked cars which were in other areas.

We reported last week about the launch of the operation which covers schools in Bromsgrove, Rubery, Hagley, Alvechurch and Wythall.

In order for them to be successfully used as evidence, the pictures need to be accompanied by the time, date and location of the vehicle when the photograph was taken.
