WELLBEING at the Wishing Well in Bromsgrove is helping to raise funds for the charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’ by having a bra bank placed within its centre, writes Sophie Hind.
The company hopes people will donate old bras to raise cash for the cause.
The exciting project keeps textiles out of landfill, helps small businesses in Africa and raises funds for ground-breaking research.
Every £1 raised is vital in helping to continue important work to find a vaccine against breast cancer in a bid to increase survival rates of men and women who have the disease.
By collecting, reusing and recycling many thousands of tons of textiles, 7.8million tonnes of CO2 emissions are saved every year, developing world families are kept out of poverty and UK people kept in some jobs.
As a thank you, a ten per cent off any cafe purchase is given to those who donate.
