MEMBERS of the Lickey End Striders celebrated the group’s third birthday yesterday evening with a social and chatty run around Finstall.
It took in the local canalside trails before a well-earned celebration with beer and cake.
Dylan Gould, who is the leader of the group and an England athletics coach, said: “The group believe in the power of chat and actively encourage #runandtalk, an England Athletics program designed to help mental wellbeing through running and social interaction.”
The group is aimed at all abilities and follows on from Couch to 5k prgrammes.
Members meet at Lickey End Recreation Ground at 7pm every Monday.
